Broadway a la Nero Philadelphia Theatre reviews
Mixed experience
The check-in process was not well-thought-out and terrible. Gates opened at 6:30, then everyone crowded like sardines in a can into the lower area while waiting to go up the escalator, which was the exact opposite of the "health" mandate to wear a mask upon entry into the arena. The escalator didn't run until 7:00 to let people up into the seating areas. The concert was supposed to start at 8:00 but did not start until 8:30. Broadway a la Nero came out, did not address the crowd, and just started singing all Italian worded songs that did not connect at all with the audience. Other performers were not identified, which was not very helpful for the audience. After a 20-minute break, Broadway a la Nero came and addressed the audience, which immediately changed the atmosphere of the arena. He sang familiar songs and, along with his daughter Virginia and son Matteo performing, everything flipped for the positive.
